Election day is Tuesday but it’s not too late for you to call or email your friends and let them know you will be voting for me. Remember, I don’t take monetary campaign contributions which means I really need your help publicizing my campaign. Your help will be key to changing the way money influences Washington.
Here are some original suggestions for how you can participate that don’t cost you money: I want to thank the many people that already have done these;
- On Election Day (you can still volunteer for this) stay a little while after you vote and distribute postcards. Please call me 937 985 6275 and I’ll make sure you get cards.

Help me distribute postcards
- An easy and effective way to spread the word is for you to talk me up. Do this in private personal conversations with friends. Tom McMasters means value for your tax dollars
- Send emails to all your friends

Would you send a monetary campaign contribution if I were accepting them? If the answer to that is yes here are some things you could do to help my campaign. There is one caveat – You can’t coordinate your monetary support with the campaign. If you chose to spend money, I shouldn’t know about it and I won’t send thank you notes if I do hear about it. Ideas:
Letters – write letters to the people in your immediate neighborhood asking them to checkout my campaign and vote for me both in the primary March 6th and the general election in November. One of the things I hope to do is set up a database that will let you search by street name and find registered voters. But until that time you can go to the property tax records site to find out who owns the properties on the streets around you. Your $5 in postage will go a long way in creating an atmosphere of good governance.
-
For Montgomery County go here and enter only your street name. This will give you the records for everyone on your street. Send a Letter that looks like this.
-
For Greene county go here select the Address tab then your street name. This will give you the records for everyone on your street. Send a Letter that looks like this
-
For Fayette county go here select Property Search, then Street Address, then enter your street name. This will give you the records for everyone on your street (Note properties without a street number will be listed first - page through those). Sample letter you might write to your neighbors
-
Send a contribution to the League of Women voters specifically asking them to put together candidate forums for the 10th Congressional District Democratic Primary. Make sure you compose a letter telling them you want candidate forums for all the candidates.

You could purchase and distribute campaign items. I’ve made all my previous purchases through 4imprint.com they have a clearance section that usually has good deals. But there are other places and lately I’ve been looking for local vendors. Be aware promotional items such as pens, rulers and totes on their own are not as effective as campaign signs. However, I like the fact that after the campaigning is over pens, rulers and totes are still useful to people. It’s a personality flaw but except for a few cases (such as signs that will also be used at a polling place) I’m going to go for utility over just publicity
Totes are well received but not as effective as yard signs
It’s fantastic you’ve read this far. Have you sent an email promoting good government? Have you sent a letter? Remember there are sample emails and letters at the beginning of this article. Thank you. Your assistance and support will improve government.

Hi Sam,
I appreciate the interest but at this time the bumper stickers are reserved for people in the area. For you if you happen to be in Ohio and we can connect I’ll help you put one on your car even if you are just driving out again.
Good luck – collecting bumper stickers is cool.
